I went to the beach for the day. I walked about 1/2 mile down the beach from the main parking and was all by myself. There's nothing there but beach and nature, so if that's what you're looking for…Full review by Tom L

This is a state park, and the beach appears to be in its natural state. It is very pretty. There are rest rooms, but not that much to do there. Worth a visit, though.Full review by Davigeta

Apparently there are numerous ranger-led programs April through October specific to painted buntings. Late March should be good. Check with the Rangers for specific locales.
