Beyoncé has finally won Album of the Year. The win comes more than two decades into her career for Cowboy Carter, her history-making eighth studio album created in response to her experience being rejected from the country genre as a Black woman from the South.

"Cowboy Carter" won earlier in the night for best country album. Beyoncé also won a Grammy for best country duo performance with Miley Cyrus.

Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter has won album of the year at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Queen Bey continued her historic night with her first win in the album of the year category. She's the first Black woman to take home the album of the year Grammy as the lead artist this century.
