Numerous school districts are canceling all classes on Tuesday and possibly Wednesday because of the frigid arctic blast set to bring near zero and even sub-zero temperatures to metro Detroit.
It’s a slick start across Southeast Michigan, with freezing rain mixing in with a bit of snow, though both are now fading.
The extreme cold weather in Metro Detroit has led to increased health issues. Henry Ford and Corewell health systems both reported that they’re seeing slip and falls, frostbite, and hypothermia cases.
