After a dominant 28-point performance against No. 7 USC (19-2, 9-1 Big Ten), Iowa women's basketball (15-7, 5-6 Big Ten) star senior guard Lucy Olsen was named the National Player of the Week by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association on Tuesday morning.

IOWA CITY -- Lucy Olsen is a Big Ten women’s basketball co-player of the week. Olsen averaged 22.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.5 steals as Iowa (15-7 overall, 5-6 Big Ten) notched a pair of home wins. In the Hawkeyes’ 85-80 victory over Northwestern last Thursday, she recorded 16 points, six assists and five rebounds.
