Coming out of the weekend, BC was first in the Hockey East standings and BU third. That puts the rivals on a collision course for another clash in next month’s tournament final.

Cole Hutson was one of four Boston University goal scorers, netting the winner in the second period of the Terriers' 4-1 victory over rival and top-ranked Boston College in the final of the annual Beanpot college hockey tournament on Monday at TD Garden.

BC and BU will mark the first time the two schools have faced off in the championship game of the men’s Beanpot title since 2016.

BU took BC's early roundhouse punch and leaned on goalie Mikhail Yegorov to stun the top-ranked Eagles, 4-1, in the Beanpot championship on Monday.
