Dave Bautista has shut the door on playing Drax again, except if one condition is fulfilled. The former WWE Champion played the character of Drax The Destroyer in multiple Marvel projects, including three Guardians of the Galaxy and two Avengers movies.

Dave Bautista would like to get back into the superhero/supervillain game… just not that one.

Dave Bautista recently told ComicBook.com that he has already contacted James Gunn (who’s heading up DC Studios after directing Bautista in three “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies at Marvel) and the Russo Brothers (the Marvel stalwarts who directed him in “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Endgame”) to express interest in playing a new comic book superhero

Dave Bautista has once again ruled out a Drax return in the MCU – but remains surprisingly open to appearances either at Marvel or with his old Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn over at DC.
