A fatal crash in north St. Louis City is being investigated late Thursday morning.The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported a call for an accident with injuries at around 10:20 a.m. Thursday at West Florissant Avenue and Arlington Avenue in north St.

The crash happened at the same intersection where a woman and a 2-year-old child were hit and killed in January.

Two people were killed and four others were injured in a three-vehicle crash involving a garbage truck near Peotone in Will County.

Police say it happened at the intersection of 35th Avenue and 13th Street in Astoria, and the driver and front passenger ran from the accident but the garbage truck driver stayed at the scene.

At around 12:30 p.m. Sept. 9, the Nampa man was driving a garbage truck north on South Millbrook Way in Boise when the motorcyclist, traveling west on East Warm Springs Avenue, struck the passenger side of the garbage truck, according to police.

The driver of a garbage truck that collided with a motorcycle on Warm Springs Ave. has been charged with vehicular manslaughter.
