Construction of a datacentre that is projected to be 3GW in size is set to start later this year in South Korea.

South Korea's digital watchdog temporarily banned downloads of the Chinese-based DeepSeek artificial intelligence app from app stores in the country until it can learn more about how the company handles user data.

Regulators said they would suspend the app until they could be sure it complied with the country’s data protection laws.
