Firaxis has announced a virtual reality version of the recently released Civilization 7. Sid Meier's Civilization 7 - VR is the long-running strategy franchise’s first foray into VR, and launches spring 2025 exclusively on Meta Quest 3 and 3S.

While Sid Meier's Civilization 7 supports cross-play across platforms, Nintendo Switch players face some limitations. As previously mentioned, the Switch version does not support Standard or larger map sizes. This means only four players can participate in the Antiquity & Exploration Ages, while six players are supported in the Modern Age.

Sid Meier's Civilization 7 takes the franchise's core formula, overhauls many of its features, and delivers another stellar strategy experience.

The review is based on a Steam code provided by the publisher. Civilization 7 will release on February 11, 2025, for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
