Sheffield United have completed the signing of defender Rob Holding from Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season. The Athletic previously reported that the 29-year-old defender was attracting interest from the Championship side.

Rob Holding is enthused about the possibility of a fresh start at Sheffield United after ending his Crystal Palace exile with a loan switch until the end of the current campaign. The 29-year-old signed for the Blades on deadline day after United called time on their pursuit of QPR’s Jimmy Dunne.

Crystal Palace have confirmed that defender Rob Holding has moved to Sheffield United. Holding will spend the rest of the season on loan with the Championship side. The defender was dropped from the Palace first team by manager Oliver Glasner and made to train with the Under-21s after a heated row between the two earlier this season.
