Eren Banks had 18 points in Georgia Southern's 85-58 win over Coastal Carolina on Thursday. Banks added eight rebounds for the Eagles (11-9, 4-4 Sun Belt Conference). Avantae Parker added 13 points while shooting 4 of 7 from the field and 4 for 4 from the line while they also had six rebounds.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – After some near misses, Marshall earned its first conference victory of the season with a 67-60 win over Georgia Southern Wednesday evening in front of 1,117 fans at the Cam Henderson Center.

Ahead of Wednesday’s Sun Belt action, Marshall and Georgia State are two of nine teams in the league with a conference record of 4-3 or 3-4. Two — James Madison (3-4 in league play) and Old Dominion (4-3 in league play) clash Wednesday night.
