Former MCU star Dave Bautista is ready to follow his Guardians of the Galaxy writer/director James Gunn over to DC Studios.

Dave Bautista recently told ComicBook.com that he has already contacted James Gunn (who’s heading up DC Studios after directing Bautista in three “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies at Marvel) and the Russo Brothers (the Marvel stalwarts who directed him in “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Endgame”) to express interest in playing a new comic book superhero

Dave Bautista isn’t shutting the door on the Marvel Cinematic Universe entirely, just on Drax the Destroyer. While promoting his upcoming film In the Lost Lands , Bautista spoke with ComicBook about his time in the MCU and whether he’d ever return.
