I have a secret I want to share with you. Ever since DeepSeek broke on the world stage three weeks ago, and instantly subtracted $600 billion from Nvidia’s (Nasdaq: NVDA) market capitalization, I’ve been eyeing the stock and wondering if I should “buy the dip”?

​​The February 26 earnings report will be pivotal in confirming whether the bullish thesis holds. Analysts expect Q4 revenue to grow 72% year-over-year to $38.1 billion, along with EPS of $0.79. Nvidia needs to surpass these expectations markedly to reignite any sort of rally.

A year ago, a screen of the S&P 500 placed Nvidia Corp. at the top of the list of companies that were expected to show the most rapid increases in revenue from 2023 through 2025. Now it is time to run the screen again, using estimates through 2026.

Nvidia stock is down 13% from its record high, as investors continue to digest the recent DeepSeek news out of China. Nvidia will report its latest quarterly financial results on Feb. 26, and I'm expecting it will ease investor concerns.
