ATLANTA — Long before he became Notre Dame’s football coach, Marcus Freeman loved professional wrestling. He still enjoys it, taking his family to a “Friday Night SmackDown” card in Chicago last June.

The NorthWood High School standout earned a state championship in the inaugural IHSAA Girls Wrestling State Finals contested in Corteva Coliseum on the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.

Fans didn't expect much from these comedy teams, but the fact is they got over with fans and they're still memorable.
