BOSTON — Multiple sources are indicating that Celtics assistant coach Sam Cassell will be in serious consideration to become the head coach next season at Florida State, his alma mater.

A major reason of their recent success has been assistant coach and former Celtic Sam Cassell, who may be departing the organization soon to take on a head coaching job at the collegiate level.

Cassell, who played for the Seminoles from 1991-93, has not yet been contacted by the program, he told Bulpett. But that doesn't mean he wouldn't listen if he received a call.
