Ariana Grande is promising a different moviegoing experience in Oz with Wicked: For Good. Grande, 31, appeared at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Sunday, Feb. 9, where she told an audience during a moderated conversation with Dave Karger that the follow up to 2024's Wicked: Part One will have a different feel when fans see her character Glinda and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) on the big screen again.

“I felt like a protective nerd, like the gatekeeping fan girl in the room,” Ariana Grande jokingly told the crowd at the DGA Theater Tuesday night. The Oscar nominee, speaking in conversation with Billie Eilish for an FYC event, shared what her non-negotiables were in terms of changes from Wicked’s stage musical to film.
