In Southeast Michigan, the snow is expected to develop after 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. with light snow during Saturday. One to 3 inches of snow is expected through Saturday afternoon for most areas. A second round of more intense snow is possible late Saturday evening into Sunday bringing the potential for snow accumulation more than 6 inches.

Weather Advisory has been issued for multiple counties in the northern, western and central parts of the Lower Peninsula.

All of Michigan is expected to see accumulating snow Friday into Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

A winter weather advisory expired Monday evening for much of central and northern Michigan, although an additional 1-2 inches of snow were expected overnight into Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.
