STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — New York City will see yet another winter storm sweep through the area this weekend, bringing with it a wintry mix of snow, sleet and rain. While January in New York City was characterized by persistent cold, this February has featured frequent winter precipitation events.

A winter storm brought another mixed bag of precipitation to New York City and the Tri-State area on Saturday. The storm began as snow across the area in the afternoon. By 8:00 p.m., the rain-snow line moved north of New York City.

Winter weather is gearing back up on Saturday as New York City and its surrounding area expect more storms of snow, sleet and rain, making for a wet weekend.
