The Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office launched an investigation into Missouri City Police Department’s handling of evidence, after discovering some had been destroyed without a court order.

A North Texas man accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old while working for Uber was shot by law enforcement and arrested in Houston on Tuesday.

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old man at 4500 Pershing Street around 9:45 p.m. on Monday.
