Juventus captain Danilo has left the club by mutual consent. The Brazil international has made 213 appearances across five and a half years at the club, including 16 matches this season and six Serie A starts under head coach Thiago Motta.

Danilo had been a fixture in Juventus’ starting lineup for a large part of his time in Turin, but with the arrival of Thiago Motta things suddenly changed and it became rather clear pretty quickly that Juve’s captain was going to see a diminished role.
