An American Airlines flight trying to land at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on Tuesday had to do a go-around maneuver and abort its first landing to avoid a collision.

An American Airlines flight from New York to New Delhi was diverted to Rome on Sunday afternoon following an "alleged bomb scare", an Italian airport spokesman said. Rome airport operations were not affected by the incident,
