A celebration of life for 16-year-old figure skater Spencer Lane and his mother, Christine Conrad Lane, will take place this Sunday at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Providence. The event will begin at 2 p.

Spencer, 16, and Christine Lane, 49, of Barrington, were killed when their American Airlines flight collided with an Army helicopter near Washington D.C.

The mother and son were returning from a U.S. Figure Skating development camp in Wichita, Kansas when their flight collided with an Army helicopter just before landing.
