Hundreds of schools across southeast Michigan canceled classes Thursday as snow, sleet and ice were expected to continue to cause issues into the morning. From Bloomfield Hills to Dearborn, many districts preemptively said they would be closed Thursday. Oakland University and Oakland Community College canceled classes until noon Thursday.

Cumberland County school districts have begun calling for closures and delayed openings for Thursday due to a nasty ice storm expected to hit the state starting Wednesday night.
