Two women from Rochester and Shakopee have pleaded guilty in connection with the $250 million Feeding Our Future fraud scheme.

A Shakopee woman pleaded guilty Friday to her role in the Feeding Our Future case, which included misappropriating millions of dollars in federal nutrition program money during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mekfira Hussein admitted to one count of wire fraud last Friday in a scheme that exploited federal funds that were intended for a child nutrition program.
