And it’s something BMW has never done before. Sure, the Bavarian automaker has made a few M3 wagons in its time, but it’s never made a CS range-topping version before.

BMW is expanding its legendary CS package to the wagon version of the M3, which is not sold in the United States. This high-output wagon uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged I6 to send 543 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque through an eight-speed automatic before hitting the xDrive AWD system.

BMW has revealed the M3 CS Touring, a high-performance version of its estate model with design changes, increased engine output, and reduced weight. The car features structural enhancements, carbon-fibre elements and a revised suspension setup.

Where that 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder produces 523hp in the not-at-all-regular Competition, it now makes 542hp and 650Nm of torque, allied to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive for rapid acceleration and speed.
