The family of Jack Loso, the Minnesota State University, Mankato student who died in a landslide at Minneopa State Park in December 2023, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

The family wants compensation for "severe emotional stress" on behalf of Loso's next of kin, as well as his sister and cousin, who were with Loso when he died.

A Robbinsdale family is suing the State of Minnesota after their 19-year-old son was killed in a 2023 landslide. On December 2nd, Jack Loso visited Minneopa State Park in Blue Earth County with his family.

Jack Loso, who was a student at Minnesota State Univeristy, Mankato, was visiting the park with his sister and cousin on December 2, 2023 when the landslide occurred.
