I'm in a very similar situation. I've been having very annoying and constant crashes as well. I recently upgraded from an rx 580 to a 5700xt and all of a sudden I can barely get through a game without getting booted out and being prompted with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG (Note: I literally only have this problem in Apex Legends).

To repair the game right click on Apex Legends in your Origin Library, then click on the Repair option when the menu comes up. If it still happens after that I'd also recommend clearing out the Origin cache in case there's a problem with the client's crashed data.
