Dec 12, 2023 · Here we have a very attractive small Bennington Pipkin, dating from1849-58. This is covered with a mottled Rockingham glaze with the color of the yellow ware clay showing through. The lid has a button knob and hole to vent steam.

This is a traditional "bean pot" that would sit on top of your stove to cook or warm just about anything. This is how life was in the cooking world! This would be an excellent piece to add to your collection!
