Transferring into Radio Television and Film : r/UTAustin - Reddit
Feb 3, 2016 · Hello! I am looking at transferring to UT from Utah. I currently have a 3.3 GPA. I realize that isn't the greatest but I am wondering if it is good enough for the radio tv and film degree. I am also wondering if getting into the degree as a transfer depends on your resume and portfolio. Any input and advise is greatly appreciated.

Feb 22, 2023 · Hi everyone.... My daughter (who lives in Texas) was recently admitted to the UT Austin Radio, Television & Film program after being admitted to DePaul late last year. Now, she looking for help in making her decision. Cost: DePaul: She received the president's scholarship, but that would still leave about $40K annually for tuition, R&B, fees, etc
Anyone know how competitive UT Austin's RTF program is?
Jul 12, 2018 · UT Austin has a school dedicated to Radio, Television, and Film (RTF) and I was considering applying there instead of to Computer Science given the competition for that major, since it's one of the only ones at UT where you're compared to others seeking that major.

A film degree is not completely necessary for these areas, but in my experience interning in development, a good amount of interns are film majors depending on the area. Most of these jobs will be in LA; some may be in New York, but companies big enough that there bi-coastal usually concentrate their development and production personnel in LA.
