Feb 3, 2025 · Since the Israel-Hamas war began on October 7, 2023, following Hamas’ terrorist attacks in Israel, the United States has provided over $1.2 billion in humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people with at least $641 million of this aid programmed by USAID.

These offices work collaboratively to support the USAID OIG mission and workforce by strategically communicating OIG’s work, providing training and development support to staff, and driving a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.

USAID programs aim to support economic growth, combat the spread of disease, promote democratic reform, and address food insecurity. The agency also provides assistance to countries recovering from disaster, trying to alleviate poverty, and emerging from periods of conflict.
