Jun 8, 2020 · As I recall, Shadow of the Tomb Raider overall received about average reviews, generally leaning towards positive. But I don't remember it causing the same fuss as the original 2013 game or even Rise of the Tomb Raider. Eidos is apparently happy with the game's sales though it doesn't look like they were particularly great.

Feb 28, 2021 · Tomb Raider - Best combat. Rise of the TR- Best mix. Shadow of the TR - Best exploration. I voted Tomb Raider cause I like the combat more than the exploration. But Rise is probably the best out of the 3. Shadow had the best locations and puzzles/tombs, but the combat was terrible. Extremely floaty and boring compared to the first two.

As a note: Vega FE with current available drivers and current version of Shadows Of The Tomb Raider does not support DX 12 Multi-GPU, neither the Pro drivers or the newest 18.8.1 gaming drivers work with Multi-GPU, single GPU yes but with dismal performance at 4K.

Currently the PS4 version of the game is experiencing an audio bug/glitch with (version 1.05) over 1GB in size - Various bug fixes Through 5.1 audio whether via DD/DTS the game has put the majority of the audio in the rear right speaker. That's voices, gunshots, wildlife, footsteps etc all while in gameplay.

Rise featured scenes such as the initial level's avalanche - impressive events that basically mixed real-time 3D with pre-rendered effects. This technique may still exist in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, but after playing a good way through the game, I haven't noticed anything similar.
